 Ralph Craib, a reporter for the //Oakland Tribune//, visited the Territory of Papua and New Guinea. Due to travel restrictions he could not join any patrols, which were widely covered in the international and Australian media at the time. He instead read patrol reports in the administration's public information office for his own reporting.
