If you are spending a lot of time working on the class and it is frustrating, ask yourself what you could be doing differently. Study groups outside of class can be very helpful in this regard; when you work with other people, you get more insight into how you do things and what you could change. The Faculty of Arts also has an excellent "student mentoring" program that puts first-year students in touch with senior students who can act as guides to the university and university life. They have real-world, practical knowledge and insight into how the university actually works, and they always have the latest information about new events in the Faculty.
